Cordless dual Power Mop Electric Spin Mop
Product AdvantageSweep And Mops Robot
Similar to their robot vacuum cousins, robot mops are investment pieces—but, we wanted to get a feel for how they work and make cleaning a hands-off experience so we have tested dozens in The Lab and at home since 2022. To date, we’ve tested over 40 robot models, so we are certainly not strangers to their setup process, effectiveness, noise level (especially when they're emptying into a base), maneuverability, and overall value. While each robot mop that we recommend below has proven itself to be efficient and effective, we've identified key categories to help you choose what's best for your household.
Again, similar to robot vacuums, many robot mops are so hands-off that you can set them to run in your absence, so you can come home to sparkling clean floors. Many machines have both mop and vacuum settings for sprucing up hardwood floors and carpets—only one pick on our list, the Bissell ReadyClean A3 Robotic Mop, is the exception to this, featuring just mop settings.
But, these machines are an investment. Our favorites range in price from $600 up to $1,600, and while we did test models in the $250 to $400 range, their performance wasn’t up to par. The robot mop you land on might still have some quirks, but it’ll make your life easier and give you the clean floors you dreamed of regularly at just the push of a button. "It won't be perfect, but they’re a huge convenience and can be a big help with household chores," stresses Becky Rapinchuk, a member of The Spruce's Cleaning Review Board and founder of Clean Mama.
